Con un lettore dvd da 65 euro con uscita digitale elettrica coassiale:da rimanere entusiasti.Con una tridimensionalita' del suono incredibile.Ma non come scelta definitiva ma solo di transizione in quanto la qualita' continua a salire proporzionalmente con la meccanica di lettura al quale e' collegato:
in particolare e' un uprgrade per il Teac Wap 5000

Lo ascolto anche con pre Quad a valvole+finale Aeron KT88/Tsakiridis 300B e due Audes Blues o Excellence 5.

La versione con volume puo' pilotare direttamente un finale come l'f2l e quindi diventare una ottima soluzione economica per sorgenti digitali interfacciate via usb da Teac Wap5000 (occorre l'opzione toslink+50 euro=800)

Una alternativa economica al Quad ma non inferiore.Con dei medi fantastici per trasparenza.

650 euro con tre ingressi,uno bilanciato,per una spazialita' di suono incredibile.
Collegabile al suo DAC in bilanciato o al prephono AQVOX. Splendido coll' F2l. Ma anche ovviamente a due 300B Tsakiridis.

Balanced inputs and outputs
The superior way of transfering a signal through a cable is by using balanced contacts.

The input
A properly made balanced input is always better then an unbalanced one. The difference is in accuracy, bass depth, smoothness and soundstage. The amplifier at the receiver has two inputs: Signal and reference. During unbalanced transfer the amplifier in the receiver gets signal from the sender and reference from the receiver. The returning current from the receiver will pass through the screening of the cable. The screening is usually connected to both ends, and can induce ground loops.

The output
A balanced output concists of a signal and a reference. Sometimes the reference is the inverse of the signal and sometimes it is the ground of the signal. That does not matter very much, the important factor is that an inverted signal or a ground reference is an exact inverse of the signal.

Signal transfer
It is possible to view the signal transfer similarly to picking fruit from a ladder on a windy day. The branches are moving heavily, so reaching them is hard. Reaching them with one hand is even harder. Grabbing the branch with one hand and picking with the other makes the process a lot easier.

The cable
In the cable are two signals: a positive and a negative. These are twined around each other. Around them are a screen. The cable is symmetrical. In some cables four independent cables are used. These are twined to make the physical contact becomes maximal.

Unbalanced to balanced
When listening a lot to a CD-player the player should not be connected to an unbalanced input. Connecting a player with an unblanced output from an RCA-contact to a balanced XLR input at the receiver works well. The grounding system in the majority of CD-players is so constructed that the analog subsystem has it’s ‘centre’ approximately where the output sockets are placed. This means that the outer sockets of the RCA-contact is a good reference for the signal. Besides there are hardly no better reference in a CD-player of that type. The improvement gained from adding a balanced output would be minimal.
